Paint Your Summer: A Still Life Oil Painting Adventure
Grab your brushes for a colorful summer escape! Join Emily for a relaxed, joy-filled painting course where we’ll bring everyday objects to life with bold strokes and vibrant oils. Over five sessions, you'll dive into the timeless art of still life while learning the building blocks of oil painting—think color mixing, juicy brushwork, and layering techniques that make your paintings sing.
We’ll meet every other Thursday for 2.5 hours, (except August, see schedule below) allowing time to absorb and practice between sessions. A bonus/make-up class is included at the end for anyone who misses a session or wants extra studio time.
Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to brush off the cobwebs, this class is all about creating with confidence, having fun, and watching your skills bloom.
What You’ll Get:
Step-by-step instruction and personalized feedback
Oil painting demos focused on still life and alla prima techniques
Hands-on practice with composition, value, color mixing, and brushwork
PDF guide with materials and painting processes
A cozy, encouraging space to stretch your creative wings
You’ll Need to Bring:
Oil paints and brushes (supply list provided)
Canvases and panels
Your creativity and a dash of bravery
